Interim GPhA National Treasurer

Dr. Nana Adwoa Bekoe received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Since her graduation, she has practiced as a community pharmacist at various locations in New Jersey and Virginia and with increasing responsibilities under CVS Pharmacy. In 2021, she was selected as a lead Pharmacist for CVS’s COVID-19 Vaccine Program in New Jersey. She coordinated and managed numerous COVID vaccine clinics and maintained adequate staffing, training and supplies to administer vaccines to eligible candidates.

After a brief stint as a Clinical Specialty Pharmacist with CVS Health, she transitioned to Bausch + Lomb where she currently works as a Senior Global Regulatory Affairs Specialist. She still serves her community through CVS on a per diem basis. In the spirit of giving back to the Ghanaian community Dr. Bekoe very recently funded a Non-Profit, the Sante initiative, to address women and girls’ health inequities in Ghana.

Dr. Bekoe is one of the “OG” members of GPHA. She started out as a treasurer with the Virginia Chapter under Kobe Boakye. Her mother, a staunch supporter of GPHA’s efforts here in America was one of the sponsors of the inaugural re-launch in Maryland 2019 under her pharmaceutical company Vicdoris Pharmacy. Adwoa is returning to serve again as National Treasurer with the hopes of recharging and re-energizing GPHA into good fiscal health.
