Dr. Levette Owusu-Ansah is a clinical pharmacist with 22 years of experience. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia and graduated from Midwestern university with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2001. She worked as a community pharmacist for ten years. She then transitioned to hospital pharmacy as night shift pharmacist where she worked for 9 years. In the hospital she was responsible for being a resource for the medical and nursing staff.
Dr. Owusu-Ansah also worked in long-term care as a clinical intervention pharmacist, where she was responsible for clinical cost resolutions for Medicare patients for 2 years. She later went on to take a role as Informatics Pharmacist in a local community hospital in Chicago’s inner city for 3 years. She then landed a role as Assistant Director and Director of Pharmacy for Comprehensive Pharmacy Services from November 2020 through March 2022.
Dr. Owusu-Ansah currently is the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Resident Program Director at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan Illinois and received a teaching certificate from Rosalind Franklin University. She is also a non-affiliate member of the Institutional Biosafety Committee at Chicago State University. She precepts students and residents from pharmacy schools around the Chicago land area. In her past time, Dr. Owusu-Ansah holds discussions on personal development and mind set augmentation on her social media handles.
